Highmore Sunflower Festival – August 16, 2025
What began as a small community workshop has grown into the second annual Highmore Sunflower Festival, now held in Highmore’s South Park. This year’s festival takes place on Saturday, August 16, 2025, celebrating the beauty of sunflowers at peak bloom.
While there is no longer a photography workshop, photographers are encouraged to attend and capture the stunning sunflower fields. Visitors can respectfully explore the edges of designated Hyde County sunflower fields and enjoy a full day of activities.
The festival will feature hayrack rides, live music, local food trucks, retail and art vendors, arts and crafts, a kids talent show, and more. Highmore’s South Park also offers a brand-new swimming pool for those who want to cool off during the event.
